On my Nuvi 360 I never found a special category for the road pois. The only way to use them is to do a search over all pois. I'm pretty sure that my changes didn't change anything in that area. I personally always use --road-name-pois=0x2900 for my maps because the default value 0x640a lack support for address information. Thanks Berni.
