Furthermore, the <?xml> header lacks the encoding attribute. I don't know XML that well, but I would tend to believe that UTF-8 is the default. Thus, it seems to me that mkgmap rightfully complains about the non-UTF-8 octet 0xe9 (0351 octal). Marko
