Really? I just installed it (before I read your warning) and it worked 
on my Vista Cx. Maybe I just got lucky :-)
Thanks to everyone for pointing this out, I had the "beep of death" for 
a while, but never could figure out what caused it. And neither could 
Garmin support, for that matter.
