This is the line I have in my style file: highway=primary | highway=secondary | highway=tertiary {name '${ref| highway-symbol:oval:6:4} ${name}' | '${ref|highway-symbol:oval:6:4}' | '${name|highway-symbol:oval:6:4}'; add display_name = '${name} ($ {ref})' } And this works for me. :-) Cheers.
