You probably have the Gnu java compiler as well. You did not completely remove all java before installing sun's java. Please remove gij-4.4 and related: probably gcj-4.4-jdk, gcj, gcj-4.4-jre and/or other gcj-related stuff. And you might as well check update-alternatives --config javac (which should be the Sun version as well). Best regards, Valentijn
