Well because for what I can see, we put on probably 60% of POI 
information, that cannot be used. This is a waste of space.

This is a list I found somewhere on the internet - showing for which POI 
(unluckily not in 0xcode but in names so one has to know what Garmin 
uses for them) can take additional information:



      POI Contact Guidelines

MPC software supports point of interest contact information for types 
that are indicated with "Contact Information" in the notes field of the 
point table in the Points <MPCPointTypes.html> section. This information 
is stored in the STRT_ADDR, CITY, STATE, COUNTRY, PCODE and PHONE 
attributes.

STRT_ADDR gives the street address for the business contact. This 
information is primarily used for display and does not require any 
special formatting. For example "1200 E 151ST" would be a valid 
STRT_ADDR entry unlike road names for road addressing which require 
correct prefix/suffix formatting to function (see the Road Addressing 
Guidelines <MPCRoadAddressingGuide.html> for details).

The PHONE and PCODE attributes optionally list the phone number and 
postal code text for the point address information. Neither need be 
formatted in any special way.

The CITY, STATE, COUNTRY attributes optionally give the text of the 
city, state and country information for the point address information. 
These fields can be used to narrow point of interest searches by name to 
a city, state or country. Again, the terms city and state generally 
refer to the first and second level administrative areas for the point. 
No alternate city level administration levels for points are currently 
supported.

NOTE: In order to be displayed when reviewing a point the STATE and 
COUNTRY must be used with a populated CITY attribute as the STATE and 
COUNTRY attributes are currently only referenced through the CITY attribute.
