[mkgmap-dev] Routing issue caused by addr:street?
From Hendrik Oesterlin hendrikmail2002 at yahoo.de on Wed Jul 7 11:13:36 BST 2010
Hello, I was not really able to pin down the cause of a routing issue I obtain on both nüvi 755 and Oregon 550. (using mgkmap 1652) If I was routing to the node http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/619703862/history I obtained the message "No street found near the destination" (free translation from German). For an example of gmapsupp files, see www.oesterlin.ile.nc/gps 20100630_nc_aio_gmapsupp.zip fails 20100707_nc_aio_gmapsupp.zip is OK I played around with the tags of the node. Finally it seems that the addr:street=Route de Koé prolongée and/or addr:city=Dumbéa is implicated in the error. After I removed the addr:street and addr:cit tags routing is OK. After I removed only the french "é" in the addr:street tag routing stays broken. Any ideas?
