[mkgmap-dev] crash. Too many tiles?

Hi Valentijn, Here is an easy fix: the performance gets worse the smaller the tiles get. With max-nodes=1500000 I am able to split the Netherlands in a way that mkgmap didnt get stuck on too many nodes, and the routing is better in comparison with more tiles and max-nodes=1000000 Tested it on a Dakota which routed from my home town to Oldenburg in Germany without any waypoints in between (260 km!). -------------------------- Valentijn wrote: (The reason for this many tiles was the idea that a Nüvi might get better bike performance on long distances if the number of data to unpack (i.e. individual tiles) would be smaller - because of the smaller tiles. Might be just a stupid idea, I don't know, I was going to check but we might never know now... ;) So I'm just passing this on, for the sake of it, don't look too long at it because it's probably not worth it; but if there's an easy fix, it is welcome ;-) Best regards, Valentijn
