[mkgmap-dev] Empty Areas in US West (Area too small to split)?

Dominik,

I think this is a known problem of mkgmap.

The problem is that the algorithm that divides the map into subdivisions 
has to consider several restrictions. The current algorithm is not very 
optimal to solve these restrictions.
I started working on this but didn't finish up to now 
(http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/pipermail/mkgmap-dev/2011q1/009960.html).
