[mkgmap-dev] Mapsource Error MDR_TRIM_ADDR.CXX-440-6.16.3.0

Steve, > The index is actually built with 70014466.img and not 70014464.img in > the FAIL directory. Sorry, that was my fault. The new upload should now contain the two problematic tiles. > There were earlier bugs that had the same kind of symptoms (only > happened for particular selections of tiles). > > One thing I did notice with the files is that some of the labels have > lower case letters in them after being transliterated (probably). That > may cause a problem, because in the index the labels are all strictly > upper case and this may affect the sort order. The search citry dialog gives some weired letters .... like e.g. "B?Lgariâ" for the country. Also some POIs display only "???" letters. There seem to be Cyrillic characters (ISO-8859-5). Another problem that I spot while inspecting the tile border common to both problematic tiles is that some parts of a complex multipolygon are missing. I don't know if that is related to the Mapsource error ... see picture attached and compare with the map-link. http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=42.7038&lon=22.082&zoom=13&layers=M http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/1330640/ I'm using splitter 171 / mkgmap-r1955 meanwhile. So WanMils latest MP patches should be active. Peter -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
