Splitter is generating more than 255 tiles. But there is (or was?) a limit of 255 tiles per pass. I am not sure if this limit is still valid. The webpage (http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/page/tile-splitter) is a bit out of date, e.g. does not tell about support for pbf files. WanMil
