[mkgmap-dev] missing tiles
From michael lohr micha.lohr at web.de on Mon Oct 24 17:05:10 BST 2011
i know the problem from mapsource (see here: www.geocaching-dresden.de/missing_tiles.jpg), and to a lesser extend from an oregon 450 (zooming in and out usally fixes it here). it seems to be a problem connected to a certain range of pois. as soon as i zoom out far enough for pois to vanish, the problem is gone. i suspect about anything between 0x3300 and 0x3f00, but haven't had time to test some more. but: it seems more complex than just leaving out this range of pois - more often than not they are displayed correctly. all in all: it feels like a garmin and not an mkgmap problem.
