Hi did you tried it?

echo java -jar mkgmap.jar --version > test.txt

doesn't work. Version is only printed to stdout (cmd), not to test.txt. 
I don't know if it is a Windows-thing or a mkgmap-thing. If this works, 
everything would be fine. :-)
