Sure it would be interesting Felix, unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to work with cgpsmapper.
I suspect it is a Mapsource bug, in Basecamp or on the GPS routing works as expected.
Anyways, just mentioning this bug plus the workaround, so anyone can deal with it.
