[mkgmap-dev] address search on oregon

Perhaps this is normal but it seems that the address search only works as
long as I have an 'indexed' gmapsupp of my local area on my oregon. Then ,I 
other countries appear when clicking Spell Country in the address search.
As soon as I remove my local area, the address search can't find the other
countries.
Is this quite common? If so,it can be very frustrating to anyone trying to
make the address search work.
