Hi Gerd, I've successfully got mkgmap:add-to-index='no' working for
excluding roads names from the address index, but I have realised that the
POIs I want to exclude are not in the index anyway, as the MdrUtils
.canBeIndexed function is returning false for them. I assume therefore that
it is not possible to hide POIs from the Find Points of Interest list,
unless you have any other suggestions.

Hi Mike,

in the subject you mention the index. AFAIK we can easily add a new tag like
mkgmap:add-to-index=no which tells mkgmap which map objects are
not be placed in the index. 
I am not so sure about the effect. If I got it right, the device might still
show the POIs in the lists, but without index that might be slower.
