[mkgmap-dev] Is index size really reduced with --road-name-config option?
From Carlos Dávila cardavilam at gmail.com on Fri Jun 23 16:45:07 BST 2017
Alexandre Loss reported a reduction of 27 MB in index size for Brazil, but I don't see that effect. I did some test with Spain map, with the following results: custom style, no road-name-config: 39.501.824 B custom style+road-name-config: 39.567.360 B default style, no road-name-config: 38.633.472 B default style+road-name-config: 38.682.624 B As you can see, index is even slightly larger with road-name-config. Maybe I missed something. My command: java -Xmx2000m -ea -jar mkgmap.jar --bounds=bounds.zip --precomp-sea=sea.zip --route --latin1 --code-page=1252 --country-name=ESPAÑA --country-abbr=ESP --area-name=España --family-name="OpenStreetMap España" --family-id=114 --product-id=1 --series-name="OSM-España" --index --process-destination --process-exits --housenumbers --reduce-point-density=4 --add-pois-to-areas --link-pois-to-ways --location-autofill=is_in,nearest --drive-on=right --check-roundabouts --license-file=license_ODbL.txt --copyright-message="OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. See: http://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright" -c spain.args
