Hi Enrico,
because mkgmap:area2poi=false doesn't work.

Try mkgmap:area2poi!=true instead.

I put his on my points file:

tourism=picnic_site & mkgmap:area2poi=false [0x7018 resolution 12]

why I would to render only

tourism=pic_site as node and not as area (polygons)

but it doesn't work.... why?
