[mkgmap-dev] status of patches and overlaps branch
From Gerd Petermann gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com on Tue May 8 06:57:11 BST 2018
Hi Felix, I've updated the branch (r4187). I know you are more interested in DEM at the moment but I'll not have much time for that before End of July. Maybe Frank Stinner finds something until then, else I plan to find a way to find out what makes MapSource / Basecamp fail. That may take months. So, I'd like to finish the work on the overlaps branch first. I tried it at the beginning and it was quite promising so I think it's worth it. I'd also like to hear if the changes in the overlaps branch helped anyone. The coding is more or less done, I droped my plans regarding self overlapping ways because they are hard to create and thus very unlikely. If nobody sees improvements, I don't plan to merge this branch to trunk, else I'll add some unit tests.
