Hi John,

I have no idea how any of the small changes could explain this. Are you sure that you used the same input with both versions?
What is the content of "D:\mkgmap-r4286\indxmpjm.txt" Note that the path still says r4286.

A recent change was made regarding indexing on .mpfiles.

But it seems to have stopped indexing.

Here is a sample street :

Screenshot 638 is a file made with 4286; screenshot 637 is with version 4289 where search fails to find the street name. The compiled .img files are smaller, too.
