[mkgmap-dev] Garmin types

From Bernhard Hiller bhil at gmx.de on Mon Jun 1 09:37:34 BST 2020

Hello ael,
please note that rendering (and also indexing) depends on the specific
Garmin unit and its firmware.
The page https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/POI_Types
shows a list of "point of interest" and their default rendering /
indexing on several device types. It also links to pages for lines and
areas.
It is a little dated, and does not always include the latest devices.
Some where should also be a list for custome types, they are not
available on all devices; unfortunately, I do not have the link to it.
Kind regards,
Bernhard
