[mkgmap-dev] Maps are corrupt when using --code-page=65001 [Zumo XT]

Gerd, the Zumo XT is the latest Garmin product and it supports NTU maps - so, yes I suppose unicode is fully supported. Is there a way for me to double-check that? Thanks! *From* Gerd Petermann gpetermann_muenchen at hotmail.com <mkgmap-dev%40lists.mkgmap.org.uk?Subject=Re:%20Re%3A%20%5Bmkgmap-dev%5D%20Maps%20are%20corrupt%20when%20using%20--code-page%3D65001%0A%20%5BZumo%20XT%5D&In-Reply-To=%3CAM0PR08MB54105BC52C8897DC2BB8FF879E830%40AM0PR08MB5410.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com%3E> *on* *Wed Jun 10 07:37:29 BST 2020* Hi Enrico, are you sure that the device supports unicode maps? Note the last sentence in the description of the code-page option: --code-page=number Specify which international character set is to be used. Only 8 bit character sets are supported so you have to specify which code page you want to use. It is entirely dependent on the device firmware which code pages are supported.
