[mkgmap-dev] mkgmap-dev Digest, Vol 143, Issue 54

From Pierre Brico pierre.brico at gmail.com on Mon Jun 22 12:02:05 BST 2020

Hi Joris,

When I said "I've changed the mapid of all tiles" that's by using the
--mapid option of splitter. I didn't manually change anything to generated
files.

On my 66s, as you have suggested, I have removed all maps except the base
map which was on the GPS when I bought it.

The generated map was copied as-is on my GPS device and, as explained, some
tiles are still missing at high zoomlevels (>= 80km). But if I put this map
on my GPSMAP 64s, the problem doesn't appear and looking at the map
with qmapshack shows all tiles properly. For me it looks like a 66s issue
(like if some tiles are too slow to be built, they're skipped).

I will try your suggestion JDM_Setup tonight.

Thanks,
Pierre
