[mkgmap-dev] [PATCH]mkgmap performance

Hello list,

attached is a small patch that improves mkgmap throughput. 
It uses the String.intern() method only in those places where tag info is
read from input files.
During my tests, this reduced(!) needed heap memory and made the program ~
5-10% faster.
